Tree rings as a powerful metaphor for witnessing our life's journey & traumas
I would like to invite you to review your own life in the same way that we can observe the rings of a tree. We can learn many things from a tree’s cross section. Its age, the trauma it experienced during its life, what happened in its environment each year, when it was flourishing and when it wasn't, why its life ended. When the available light around it increased and it grew quickly, and when it was in shade and growth slowed.
We carry the same knowledge within us. What do you find when you look inward? Evidence of scarring from painful memories and events? Maybe signs of stunted growth from an event that came out of the blue and took you off your feet, and off your life's path. Hopefully the evidence of joyful times, and times of great growth and health can be discovered too.
Allow the metaphor of the cross sectioned tree to act as a guide for your own life review. Stand in the centre, at the point of your birth into this life and look outwards. Where is your trauma held and how has it played a role in your life since? When were you last in your power and free from conditioning? Were you ever that way? What memories are you being pulled towards or which circle of your life do you avoid shining your conscious awareness? Don't step into the trauma or dwell in it, instead stand from a place of separation and observe where it is held and acknowledge it. See that it is in the past and that you can feel safe in this moment.
As we move and grow through our lives, the world around us and the situations we experience have an impact on all aspects of our being - our energy and power, our happiness, peacefulness, wellbeing and physical health. In turn, this impact has an effect on how we consider and treat the people and world around us. Trauma is cyclical and pain is often passed on.
It does not have to be this way. Trauma and pain is unavoidable, and so are the ups and downs of our lives, but their impact does not need to stay with us, affecting our remaining time in these bodies and the world around us.
Shamanic healing techniques focus on mending our wounds, returning our lost power and essence, removing blockages and intrusions, and bringing us back onto our true life path. Free from old stories, pain and unhelpful patterns, ready to flourish and live well, not blocked by our wounds, instead strengthened by their teachings.
We can help you with this, no matter where in the world you are reading this from. Get in touch with us today to begin your journey into wholeness and healing.
